Diya Kumari has been who was in race for Rajasthan CM has been appointed new deputy CM of Rajasthan along with Bhajan Lal Sharma as the new Chief Minister. She hails as an MLA from the Vidhyanagar Assembly constituency.
She was sworn in as the Deputy CM of Rajasthan on 15 Dec 2023 along with CM Bhajan Lal Sharma and Deputy CM Prem Chand Bairwa. All of them were sweared an oath by Governor Kalraj Mishra.

Electoral History
Diya Kumari joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on 10 September 2013 (during assembly polls campaign) in front of two lakh people and in the presence of Narendra Modi, then Gujarat Chief Minister, former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje and then BJP President Rajnath Singh.
In 2019, she was elected Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha Elections from Rajsamand. She secured

Personal Details
Diya Kumari born on 30 January 1971 was born to Congress leader Sawai Bhawani Singh who was also a decorated army officer. She is the grand daughter of Man Singh, the last ruler of Jaipur Princely state.
In her affidavit with the election commission, she stated that she was not married at the time of filing the document.
As of 6 November 2023, there were no criminal charges against her.
