- Don’t apply sindoor on the stem or near the roots as sindoor should be applied on forehead which is the top portion of the plant. It is advised that men do not apply sindoor on Tulsi plant.

- A Tulsi plant should always be planted in Earthen pot and should never be planted in plastic.
